His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem Al Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), met with Eng Badr bin Mohammed al Nadabi, CEO of Mwasalat at the CPA’s headquarters, with the goal of fostering collaboration and integration for the benefit of consumers.
This meeting is part of the ongoing and persistent efforts by both parties to serve the public interest by improving communication between them, making sure that all consumer rights are adequately protected, and performing integrated work to deliver services that truly address the needs of consumers.
The public transport services that Mwasalat offers to all societal segments in the Sultanate's various regions and governorates were reviewed during the meeting, along with the initiatives that have been put in place to guarantee better service quality and increased consumer satisfaction by creating procedures for handling complaints about buses and ferries.
H.E. CPA Chairman commended Mwasalat's efforts and emphasized the significance of keeping up with technological advancements in order to ensure that services are provided in a manner that serves the public interest and to respond quickly and immediately to consumer comments and complaints.
It is important to note that the two parties' cooperation is a significant step in accomplishing their shared objectives of safeguarding consumers. It also demonstrates how crucial the public transport industry—particularly buses and ferries—is to the Authority's efforts to uphold consumers' rights and protect their welfare.
