The Authority’s awareness booth witnessed a wide turnout from college students, particularly graduates and students expected to graduate soon, in addition to academics and other visitors. The participation aimed to enhance consumer awareness and introduce the Authority’s role in protecting consumer rights.
The participation included introducing the Authority, its mission, objectives, responsibilities, and role in ensuring the safety of consumer products and promoting a healthy and safe environment for consumers through its ongoing regulatory and awareness efforts.
The Authority also raised visitors’ awareness of the risks of products that may harm the health and safety of community members by displaying samples of non-compliant goods seized from the markets. In addition, visitors were introduced to the mechanisms for submitting reports and complaints, as well as the various services provided by the Authority to safeguard consumer rights and promote a culture of safe and responsible consumption.
