As part of its efforts to enhance consumer awareness and build a society that is more aware of its rights and responsibilities, the Consumer Protection Administration in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate concluded today the evaluation of schools participating in the “Best Awareness Project” initiative, which was implemented in cooperation with Parents Councils in the Wilayat of Sur.
During the evaluation period, held from 15 to 20 April 2026, the submitted projects were assessed based on a set of criteria aimed at measuring the quality of the initiatives and their effectiveness in promoting consumer awareness concepts. These criteria included the clarity of the work plan, the extent to which the project aligned with consumer protection objectives, the diversity and breadth of the target groups, as well as the project’s expected impact.
The evaluation criteria also covered the creative and innovative aspects of implementation, the level of community partnership, the quality of documentation and presentation, in addition to the project’s sustainability potential, thereby contributing to embedding the concepts of responsible consumption across various segments of society.
This initiative reflects the Authority’s commitment to supporting purposeful awareness initiatives and strengthening partnerships with educational and community institutions, in a way that achieves the objectives of spreading consumer awareness and reinforcing the values of social responsibility, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040 goals of building an aware society and promoting sustainable development.
