Joint Meeting Brings Together Consumer Protection in Al Buraimi Governorate and the Department of Social Development to Enhance Institutional Cooperation

The Consumer Protection Administration in Al Buraimi Governorate organized a joint meeting and an exchange visit with the Department of Social Development in the Governorate, in the presence of Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the Consumer Protection Administration in Al Buraimi Governorate, and Sultan Al Kalbani, Assistant Director at the Department of Social Development in the Governorate, along with a number of employees from both sides. The meeting included an introductory presentation on the supervisory and awareness role undertaken by the Consumer Protection Authority in protecting consumer rights, in addition to a review of the digital services provided by the Authority, which contribute to enhancing access to its services and raising community awareness. The meeting also discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, including strengthening partnership and integration between both parties in the areas of supporting productive families, implementing training programs, and organizing joint events, in a manner that achieves the desired developmental and awareness objectives. This meeting comes within the framework of efforts to enhance institutional cooperation and integration between government entities and to exchange expertise and best practices, thereby supporting efforts aimed at promoting a culture of consumer protection, enhancing awareness of consumer rights and obligations, and aligning with national directions toward creating a safe and stable consumer environment. Participants emphasized the importance of continuing such joint meetings due to their impact on developing work mechanisms and integrating roles among relevant entities, in a way that benefits society and improves the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries.
