His Excellency Sulayem Ali Sulayem Al-Hikmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, held a meeting this morning, Wednesday, 4/2/2026, at the Authority’s Head Office with Directors General, Directors of Departments in the governorates, and a number of Authority officials. The meeting aimed to follow up on workflow progress and discuss several key themes related to achieving the Authority’s core objectives linked to the indicators of Oman Vision 2040.
During the meeting, the Authority’s preparations for welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan were discussed, including intensifying regulatory efforts and ensuring the availability of goods and services required by consumers. The meeting also addressed key challenges and ways to overcome them, in addition to reviewing performance indicators in the governorates and the most notable achievements realized during the past year 2025, and the extent of their alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, in a manner that ensures enhanced performance efficiency and sustainability in the delivery of consumer services.
The meeting further discussed a number of developmental proposals, recommendations, and decisions aimed at supporting continuity of work and achieving further gains in the coming period.
His Excellency the Chairman emphasized the importance of integrating efforts and working with a unified team spirit to continue the journey of development, commending the achievements realized during the previous year, and directing a focus on enhancing service efficiency and improving performance quality in the next phase.
This meeting reflects the Consumer Protection Authority’s keenness to continue its approach in strengthening oversight and developing performance in a manner that serves consumers’ interests and aligns with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040 towards sustainability and quality of life.
