The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with Moosa Abdul Rahman Hassan & Co. LLC, has launched a recall campaign for seventy-nine (79) Suzuki Grand Vitara vehicles, models YKL / YLL, equipped with a 1.5-liter engine (Hatchback), model years 2024–2025, as part of its continuous efforts to enhance road safety and protect consumers.
To verify chassis numbers, consumers may refer to the recall section on the Authority’s electronic portal via the following link: recall.pacp.gov.om.
This recall is due to the fact that the fuel level indicator and the low-fuel warning lamp displayed on the instrument cluster do not accurately reflect the actual fuel level, which may result in sudden fuel depletion, leading to engine shutdown and the inability to restart the vehicle.
Accordingly, the company will inspect the low-fuel warning lamp and verify the integrity and positioning of the fuel gauge indicator. In the event that any defect is identified, the instrument cluster will be replaced with the correct and approved part free of charge.
These recalls reaffirm the efforts undertaken by the Authority in the field of road safety, in cooperation with agencies operating within the sector, and are consistent with its ongoing commitment to conducting continuous reviews of all products offered in the markets of the Sultanate of Oman, with the aim of ensuring the necessary protection for consumers across all fields.
