The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with Clear Image Technology Company, has launched a recall campaign for a total of 8,442 Anker power banks bearing model numbers A1681, A1257, A1647, and A1652, manufactured between 2023 and 2025.
To verify the serial numbers, consumers may visit the recall portal on the Consumer Protection Authority’s official website: recall.cpa.gov.om.
The recall is due to the occurrence of electrical short circuits in the affected Anker batteries, which increases the risk of fire.
Accordingly, the company will replace the defective power bank batteries.
This recall reflects the Authority’s ongoing efforts to ensure public safety, in collaboration with relevant agencies, and aligns with its continuous commitment to monitor and review all products available in the markets of the Sultanate of Oman, in order to provide the necessary protection for consumers in all sectors.
