The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with Saud Bahwan Automotive Group, has launched a recall campaign for 187 Toyota Raize vehicles, model years 2021–2024. To verify chassis numbers, consumers can visit the recall portal through the Consumer Protection Authority’s website:
recall.cpa.gov.om.
This recall is due to incorrect programming of the electronic control unit . Under certain conditions, such as repeated braking in hilly areas, the required pressure in the brake booster may not be maintained as designed. In this case, the brake pedal force may increase, leading to longer stopping distances. Accordingly, the technicians at the company will reprogram the engine control unit .
These recalls reflect the Authority’s efforts to enhance road safety in cooperation with agencies operating in the sector, and align with its continuous commitment to review all products offered in the markets of the Sultanate of Oman to provide the necessary protection for consumers across all sectors.
