Recall of 104 Honda Pilot Vehicles

Wednesday 5 March 2025

The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with Oman Marketing and Services Company (OMASCO), has launched a recall campaign for 104 vehicles of the Honda Pilot model, model years 2023 to 2025. To verify the chassis numbers, consumers can refer to the recall website on the Consumer Protection Authority ’s online portal (recall.pacp.gov.om). The recall is due to a malfunction in the supplier’s FI-ECU control unit software, the activation of the MIL, or engine shutdown, which results in a failure to control the engine's rotation. Accordingly, the Authority will carry out the required procedure to fix the defect in accordance with the technical instructions provided by Honda. These recalls underscore the Authority ’s efforts in road safety, in cooperation with other relevant authorities, in line with its continuous commitment to conducting regular reviews of all products available in the Sultanate of Oman’s markets, with the aim of providing the necessary protection for consumers in all sectors.
