The Consumer Protection Authority continues its preparations for the holy month of Ramadan at all levels, whether by monitoring markets to ensure the availability of goods at reasonable prices, providing alternatives for consumers, or enhancing consumer awareness in line with spending habits during Ramadan. Additionally, the authority coordinates with shopping centers to provide the Ramadan basket for consumers.
The authority has intensified its market monitoring efforts to ensure the availability of essential consumer goods across various sales outlets. It has also coordinated with several shopping centers to offer the Ramadan basket, which includes a selection of essential goods at affordable prices. Recently, some shopping centers across different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman have begun introducing the Ramadan basket ahead of the holy month. This basket contains 17 to 19 food products at reasonable prices, not exceeding 10 Omani Rials, to ease the financial burden on consumers and provide essential weekly supplies for families.
Over the past years, the Ramadan basket has witnessed significant demand from consumers due to its economic benefits, particularly for some families. It also helps ensure the availability of necessary items while preventing unnecessary purchases.
It is worth mentioning that the Ramadan basket includes essential goods favored by a wide segment of consumers in the Sultanate. It is distinguished by its quality and affordability, saving both time and effort in selecting necessary products.
