The details indicate that the Complaints Department received a complaint from a consumer against a travel and tourism agency. The complaint stated that the agency had agreed to provide an entry visa but failed to issue it within the agreed period, which is a fundamental requirement for entering the Sultanate of Oman.
Following standard procedures, the concerned parties were summoned, and the details of the complaint were discussed. An amicable settlement was reached, wherein the consumer was refunded 3,600 Omani Rials for expenses incurred in issuing the ticket and visa.
These settlements reaffirm the Consumer Protection Authority’s commitment to safeguarding consumer rights and addressing violations of the laws and regulations governing consumer protection.
