His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem Al Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), continues his series of field visits to the governorates. His Excellency visited Al Buraimi Governorate and met with Sheikh Dr. Hilal bin Saud Al Hatami, Deputy Wali of Mahdah, and a number of officials.
During the meeting, they discussed the most important aspects related to consumer protection, and the integrated role of CPA with various consumer-related institutions to achieve the vision system. The meeting reviewed the efforts exerted in monitoring and inspecting markets and monitoring observations.
During the visit, Al-Hakmani toured the markets of the wilayat of Buraimi and Mahdha, during which he visited a number of shops and commercial centers in various sectors, to monitor and verify consumer feedback on the ground by CPA cadres.
On the sidelines of the visit, His Excellency engaged with consumers, listening to their comments and suggestions regarding CPA's work. He also met with suppliers, urging them to comply with existing laws, regulations, and systems. Al-Hakmani emphasized the critical role suppliers play in consumer protection and encouraged them to maintain cooperative relationships with the CPA.
This visit forms part of a broader series of field visits to governorates and wilayats, aimed at fostering collaboration with community institutions and strengthening ties with the consumer community. It also provided an opportunity for CPA leadership to evaluate the operational mechanisms within its departments in various governorates and assess the ongoing efforts to monitor and regulate markets effectively.
