The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), in cooperation with Mohsen Haider Darwish Automotive Company, launched a recall campaign for 5 Dodge Durango (WD) vehicles and one Ram 2500-DJ truck model 2022. To verify the chassis numbers, consumers can refer to the recall page on the CPA's (recall.pacp.gov.om).
This recall is due to a critical software malfunction in the ABS control module, which may disable the electronic stability control (ESC) system during vehicle operation. This will cause the ESC to malfunction during vehicle startup and thus malfunction indicator will show up. This may disable the ESC system in certain driving conditions, and this increase the risk of a sudden crash.
The company will update the ABS control module software.
