Due to the establishment's lack of response and procrastination in releasing and delivering the devices In a proactive move to address and resolve consumer grievances, the Consumer Protection Department in South Al Batinah Governorate in Barka successfully facilitated the retrieval of OMR1153 for a group of consumers from a commercial entity operating within the electronic and electrical appliances sector. The genesis of this accomplishment stems from the department receiving multiple complaints from consumers against the aforementioned commercial establishment. These grievances encompassed issues such as early defects in electronic devices post-purchase and delays in the timely delivery of electronic products. With attempts to reconcile failing between the consumers and the establishment. The CPA intervened and summoned both parties for a discussion on the lodged complaints. Through collaborative efforts, amicable resolutions were reached, mandating the restitution of the specified amounts to the affected consumers. These concerted endeavors underscore CPA’s commitment to upholding consumer rights as enshrined in the Consumer Protection Law and its accompanying executive regulations. By meticulously following through on consumer complaints, CPA aims to safeguard consumer interests, curb violations, and ensure accountability among businesses in adherence to prevailing legal frameworks.
