The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has embarked on the implementation of a suite of cutting-edge internal and external technical systems, unveiled under the auspices of His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem Al Hakmani, the Chairman of CPA, in the presence of prominent officials and staff members through a digital platform. These systems are set to redefine both the internal operations and external services of the CPA by leveraging the latest technological advancements.
The introduction of these systems is aimed at bolstering productivity and amplifying the institutional performance of the CPA by fostering an environment characterized by innovation and dynamism in delivering government services. By harnessing modern technologies, the CPA has already made significant strides in providing digital services accessible across a myriad of electronic platforms, channels, devices, and smartphones. The launch of these new systems serves as a synergistic complement to these ongoing efforts.
Internally, the systems include the internal portal platform, an electronic gateway designed for employees to submit internal requests and stay abreast of CPA events, news, and circulars. This centralized platform streamlines access to all system logins through a unified username, marking a pivotal step toward achieving digital transformation. Noteworthy additions like the special dashboard system and the indicators panel for institutional proficiency within the Office of Vision Oman 2040 and other administrative divisions aim to monitor departmental performance and facilitate decision-making processes based on complaint tracking and report analysis.
Externally, the unveiling of two key systems stands out: the price increment application request system allows suppliers to electronically submit price hike applications and monitor them from initiation to approval, while the upgraded price observatory system now includes the school supplies sector, enabling consumers to compare prices using barcodes or product names with enhanced user-friendliness.
The rollout of these systems aligns closely with modern technological trends, underscoring the CPA's commitment to achieving digital transformation objectives and supporting the Vision of Oman 2040.
